Islamabad: Pakistan Ulema Council demanded speedy action against the Rapists and they should be punished publicly for their heinous crimes.
Religious scholars from different schools have condemned the rape of the girl in a madrassa in Rawalpindi and demanded that those guilty of such heinous crimes be punished publicly through early trial.
Pakistan Ulema Council holds consultative meetings on increasing incidents of child abuse and harassment of women in different parts of the country. Religious scholars demanded immediate action against the criminals to publicly punish the perpetrators for their heinous crimes.
A joint statement chaired by Chairman Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi urged the Prime Minister and the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take immediate and strict action against the Minar Pakistan incident, Noor case, rickshaw harassment case in Lahore and harassment incidents in all other madrassas, schools and colleges.
The ulema also urged the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra), Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and the Ministry of Information to block all pornographic content such as pornography websites, social media pornography, various pornographic advertisements and any means responsible for the spread of obscenity and nudity in the country.
