Facebook and Instagram have no plans to monetize content in Pakistan

Facebook monetization is not available in Pakistan. Meta – the parent company of Facebook and Instagram has no plans to monetize content in Pakistan.

Earlier this year a team from Meta Company visited Pakistan where the matter was raised. There are about 60 million users in Pakistan, and Metta should take steps to facilitate these users.

In response, the delegation said META is working on the issue and may start a pilot project, sources in the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication revealed.

However, the company flatly ruled out any monetization plans for Pakistan shortly.

Meta Media Briefing Session on Privacy

The company on Thursday held a media briefing session on privacy for Pakistani journalists here.

Arianne Jimenez, privacy policy manager at Meta in Asia Pacific, briefed journalists on the social media company’s policies for protecting user data and information on its platforms.

A Metta representative told reporters that protecting people’s information is central to Metta’s vision of being a privacy-focused communications platform.

He said privacy is fundamental to Meta Business’s work, and that everyone at the social media company has a responsibility.

Meta is committed to giving people more control over their privacy choices, he added. That’s why it has created tools to give people more transparency and control over how their data is used.

Meta offers a number of tools and features to help its users take control of their privacy.

These tools include Privacy Checkup, Privacy Shortcuts, Manage Activity, Audience Selector Tool, and Who Can See Me? and the Privacy Center.

These tools make privacy, security and ad control settings more accessible to users, in addition to helping them decide who can see and control what they share. How do people find them on Facebook?

He added that the Privacy Center is an educational platform for Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger that provides in-depth information about privacy.

Meta tools, “Why I am seeing this ad?”

MetaTools, “Why am I seeing this ad?” And “Why am I seeing this post” helps people adjust their preferences by clicking on an ad or post on the News Feed.

Metadata designs privacy controls for its products with guidance from experts in fields such as data protection and privacy law, security, interface design, engineering, product management, and public policy.

Its privacy team works at every stage of product development to develop these perspectives to keep people’s information safe.

Meta security checkup tools

Meta officials said tools on Meta platforms such as security checkups, two-factor authentication, end-to-end encryption and additional accountability for “third-party apps” ensure information security.

Meta gives people more control and choice over their data and gives them the tools to delete anything they post or transfer data to other services because Meta believes in a free and open internet Part of this means that people should be able to transfer their data or other apps and services they use.

Meta does not sell user information to anyone. Partners and third parties who have access to certain data are required to follow rules on how they can and cannot use and disclose information provided by Meta.

At Meta, privacy and security system improvements are ongoing and the company will continue to invest and innovate to provide its customers with the best user experience.
