
Punjab Chief Minister Pervez Elahi has announced a 400% increase in the pension of the families of police martyrs. He also announced to provide opportunities for his children to get free education in elite educational institutions.
Recently, on the occasion of Police Martyrs’ Day, the Chief Minister met and gave lunch to the families of police martyrs.
Besides, he said that risk allowance would be given to the police from constable to inspector general. While a separate package will be announced for women police personnel.
However, a follow-up meeting has been scheduled next week to implement the Chief Minister’s announcement on the occasion of Police Martyrs’ Day.
He also said that a special cash package will also be provided to the families of martyrs on Eid.
He further said that he can feel the pain of these families and how difficult it will be for them. Moreover, he will not allow police resources to be reduced.
While making the announcement, the Chief Minister said that the pension of the martyrs’ families will be quadrupled and free education for their children will be provided.
He was further directed to reintroduce police risk allowance with payment of arrears to all officials from constable to IGP.
