Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to hold a Strong Power Show in Islamabad on August 14. According to reports, former Prime Minister Imran Khan will announce the future action plan.
This was decided in a meeting of PTI’s political committee presided over by former prime minister and party chairman Imran Khan. The meeting was attended by senior party leaders.
The current political situation of the country was discussed in the meeting. According to the PTI announcement, the legal aspects of contesting elections from nine constituencies simultaneously were discussed.
Imran Khan has directed the party organization to make arrangements for the public gathering.
He said that on the occasion of Independence Day on August 14, a big show of strength will be done in Islamabad.
Earlier, PTI had given a one-month deadline to the federal government to hold general elections in the country.
Yesterday, shortly after the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) scheduled three cases against Imran Khan for hearing, PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry announced that the party would hold a large public rally in Islamabad and will announce the event date in 48 hours.
He said at the rally that the party would issue a “deadline” to dissolve the National Assembly. This decision was taken after deliberation in the meeting of the political committee of PTI.
