Imran Khan Popularity in Pakistan

Imran khan’s Popularity Hits All-Time High

Posted on January 3, 2023January 13, 2023 By Pakistan Analysis

Imran Khan’s popularity is not decreasing despite the audio leaks. Imran Khan is most popular in his political electoral base. His supporters see him as the little messiah of their political liberalization.

Pakistan has been facing political crises since the ousting of former Prime Minister Imran Khan. Critics believe that the popularity of the former prime minister was at its lowest at the beginning of the year 2022. The PRM led by Imran Khan lost most of the country’s by-elections.

PTI lost by a wide margin in Khanewal in the last by-election of the Buzdar system in Punjab. All the prophecies and political calculations have confirmed that the former prime minister and the Salvation Movement are at their lowest point in popularity.

Imran Khan’s popularity is not declining

Anticipating a regime change, the Imran khan made the right decision to mobilize its political workers. So he campaigned in all the cities until he announced in Islamabad an external conspiracy behind regime change.

PTI’s spin doctors, and especially PTI’s social media army, spread the message, and PTI followers believed in the statement.

The call decision proved to be democratic, and the former prime minister went on to garner universal public support. In due course, PTI won the by-election and recaptured the Punjab Fort.

Since his ouster, IK has been on a political rampage. Undoubtedly, he has not yet been able to disentangle the regime change positions. Nevertheless, he was able to rally political support among the people.

Hence, political support is the life force of the political leader. Thus, this is the reason why the People’s Democratic Movement is not calling for early elections. The latest polls indicate that PTI is the most popular party in almost all pockets of the country except for the interior regions of Sindh and Balochistan. The PTI party is the most popular political party in all of KPK.

Peshawar Valley, Malakand Division, KPK South, Former Federal Tribal Areas, or even the traditional stronghold of PML N, Hazara Division, and PTI are famous all over KPK district.

Most Popular Political Party in Pakistan

Then, the PTI is the most popular political party in the Islamabad Capital Territory. In view of its popularity, the federal government is trying to postpone local elections in Islamabad.

Moreover, separating the popularity of IK and PTI in Punjab, PTI has captured almost all areas of Punjab in terms of popularity. The Potohar region is already with the PTI and it has maintained its momentum of popularity in the region.

PTI and Imran Khan are the most popular trend in south Punjab. Even surveys show that PTI is leading in central Punjab, once an impregnable stronghold of the PMLN. PTI is then popular in Sindh’s urban areas.

However, due to several reasons, the PPP still has a hold in Sindh. The Baloch belt in Balochistan points to tribal and dominant trends. In the Pashtun belt of Balochistan, PTI is gaining some popularity.

PTI is spread all over the country.

Hence, the PTI is spread across the country. PTI is already very popular in Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir. Political trends in Pakistan’s politics have always been changeable. However, the popularity of Imran Khan and PTI will remain unchanged as long as PDM remains in power.

The country’s economy is the primary reason for the low popularity of PDM in their traditional constituencies. This is the reason why the People’s Democratic Party did not hold elections. However, that doesn’t matter because PDM will not make gains in the coming months.

With that said, political analysis is always based on situations and circumstances that change on a daily basis. Thus, the popularity of IK and PTI is on the rise all over the country.

Critics explain that it may not be due to Ik’s charisma or performance but to many other reasons, such as the faltering economy, poor management, and the role of real-life powers.
